Summer Sunset Cards

Kelleigh Ratzlaff Designs has some new digital papers in her shop:

Aren't they fabulous?
This one is called SUMMER SUNSET.

Here are two cards I made with the pattern and solid papers:

I added a little water to the flags/banners so they are distressed!
I love that look on paper I have printed with my printer.

I like to make hybrid cards, so I print the papers out onto Image Plus+ cardstock and then cut them out.
Sentiment is from VERVE: (Wishing You).
Border punch is Stampin' Up!
Die Cut is Spellbinders Nestabilities
Black Paper is Embassy

These papers just released today, so go check them out!

It is THIS trim.

Unity Facebook Challenge

Unity put out a challenge on Facebook the other day to make a project using an Itty Bitty.

I used this one:

And here is my card:

(this card is listed in my shop for purchase HERE)
I used THIS trim from CreatingIsFun's shop.

The sentiment is from a 2009 KOM:
which is retiring...

I am also entering this in the KOM Sketch Challenge from Unity.
The sentiment is from the KOM so I am entering it.

Corners were punched with Ticket Punch from SU. Die Cuts are Spellbinders.

BAKER'S TWINE is from my shop HERE.

TIME for you to go check out all the other fabulous ladies participating this week with the Unity Fan Hop on the Unity Blog.

Clear It Out Tuesday and Unity Friday

I wanted to share this with all my Unity Peeps since almost all the stamps on it were Unity. Only the Father Sentiment, the kraft colored tickets and Coupons are not Unity...

And today is Unity's Friends with Flair, so make sure to go check out all who are participating HERE.

There is a new challenge over at the Clear It Out's Challenge Blog to use some trims on your projects.

I decided to make my husband a coupon book for his upcoming birthday. I used mailing envelopes for the pages and actually put my Bind It All to use to bind the book together! Bout time huh! Only had it for year!

Anyway, I used my spellbinder label 4 die to cut each end of the envelopes to make it easier to get the coupons out.

The coupons I made with a digital stamp. The stamping inside the book are from Unity Stamps as well as a clear stamp set for the little tickets.

Are you ready for A LOT of pictures???

Pattern Paper from a Wal-Mart pack, Cardstock is Paper Company(?) & Georgia Pacific.

Frame and Sentiment from Echo Park set I Adore You. Flourish is a MM rubon.

Monsters and sentiment from Itty Bitty: Nicest Place To Be (Paper pieced and then colored with Copics). Die shape was cut with Silhouette and was Designed by Me!

A close up of the trims. Stamp Image is from Sweet & Sour Soup and the label die is Samantha Walker's label frame tag, cut on the Silhouette. Border is a Martha Stewart Punch.

Sentiment from Past Kit of the Month: Delightful Moments {KOM Dec 2009}.

This sentiment was also from Sweet & Sour Soup which I was kind of sad about. When purchasing this Fast Facebook Offer, I really thought these stamps were MUCH bigger than they turned out to be... BUT the sentiments are still great sentiments!

More of MARTHA'S TRIMS. Sentiment from another Past Kit of the Month: Take Time To Laugh {KOM Oct 2010}. Die cut was cut with Silhouette and was designed by me!

Large ticket is from Here's the Ticket, sentiment from Past Kit of the Month: A Pocket Full Of...{KOM July 2009}, and small tickets are a clear stamp I picked up at Joann's I think!
Punched border is from Stampin' Up!

Isn't that a great picture of the boys!?  Image from Little Me while the sentiment (Dear Father) is Stampin' Up!
Die shape is Inverted Circle from Spellbinders.

I made about 12 of these tickets with the computer. I printed the ticket on colored paper and then the centers on white and paper pieced them together.

Some were signed by Hunter and say things like "Ice Cream for Two" and "Any activity of your choice!"

Colton even has a ticket that says "Playing Ball."

Now that you have seen my almost endless amount of pictures of my little book, go check out the other DT projects on

Light It Up

Last night was a fundraiser night for my church Young Women. We put on a spaghetti dinner (along with the young men) and silent auction. We had a lot of fabulous donations for local businesses and some church members. We had a really good turn out for the dinner to! The food was really good, though I think the girls did get a little carried away with the garlic they put on the bread!

For the centerpieces on each table, I made up 10 of these:

I got the tutorial on how to make them HERE.

I didn't follow her template exactly. For the lip portion of the lid, I just used some cereal box cardboard that I cut at 2.75x2.75" and layered 4 or 5 pieces together. I figured it fit better and was easier to do.  I also just used a nestie (next to the largest for both Label 8 & 4) for the windows.
I tried to make the first two the way the tutorial showed, but it just took too much time, and I had to make 10! I ended up preferring the Nestie window anyway.
For the chipboard piece used for the bottom of the lantern and the lid, I used some 3.5 square coasters I had gotten at Micheal's a while back that have been collecting dust. They were polka dotted on one side, so I just put that side down, so they weren't noticeable unless you picked them up.

Here are some closer pictures:

I had a few people at the dinner ask me where I got them and were really surprised that I had made them.

Hope you have a
 Happy Easter.

FWF Slacker!

Man, I have been slacking in the crafting department lately! My excuses are as follows:

I was sick...
Then the baby got sick (Influenza A)...
Next a mini vacation to pick up Hunter from Grandpa's...
and well, I am just now traveling home today!

Now that all my excuses are used up, I should be able to find SOME time to craft... Hopefully!

It is Friday, which means it is Friends with Flair day and you can find the master list HERE.

I made this card for my sample for Martha and my CLEAR IT OUT challenge blog.  Our challenge for these two weeks is to use up some of those buttons you have been stashing!

I also only used paper from my scrap box for this card (besides my base). The designed paper at the bottom is from a pack I got from Sam's Club and the flower is an embellishment I had made a while back. The design on the paper was actually from THIS Unity KOM. I had smeared the image of the Holiday Greeting when I stamped it, and instead of throwing the paper away, I cut it into quarter inch strips and made it into a fun flower.  The balloon basket is from a KOM, but couldn't find the picture on the website. The sentiment was also from a KOM (This One).

Also used a Stampin Up punch, Spellbinder Label 4 Nestie and Scalloped Oval Nestie (Sponged Cloud Background).

Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend and I hope to blog more soon, but we will see!

Ippity ~ October is HERE!

Today is time for the Ippity Hop.

You can check out all the participants HERE.

I made this altered jar {empty pickle jar} for a girl from church who is having her 13th birthday this month. She is the first of my Young Women to invite me to her birthday party.

I put her name on the front with Ippity's Alphabetically Adorable. The paper is My Minds Eye and I got it from one of the kits I purchased from Unity.

I am very sad that I won't be able to go to the party because my Mother In Law is coming to help me prepare some more for the arrival of my baby in ONE MONTH!

Can't believe it is already that time... But oh am I ready!

I also made this box of candles. I "love" how it turned out!Hope you enjoyed my creations today. Don't forget to go check out the rest of the participants. I am sure they will dazzle you!
