Kelleigh Ratzlaff Designs CANISTER

First off...

Sorry I have been so quite lately.
Trying to be a good farmers wife really takes up A LOT of time!

I have been waking at 6:40 each morning to shower before everyone gets up.
Then about 7 I wake Hunter for school.
We leave at 7:20.

When I get home, Chris and the farm hands who are staying with us for harvest head out to the farm.

I run errands or pick up the house or pay bills or whatever is needing done that morning until about 10:00 a.m., at which point, I start making lunch for the farm.

I try to be out there by noon each day, which means I have to leave the house by 11:30!

I am feeding the crew of six who are stripping cotton, Chris, Myself, Colton, and anyone else helping at the field that day!

Colton and I get home about time for his nap around 2:00 p.m.

I do whatever needs done around the house at this point
-lunch dishes
-laundry
-pick up toys
-my daily cleaning
-sit for a few minutes and breath!!!

Hunter gets home at 3:30 on the bus. He plays for a while, does homework, picks up toys until 5:00 p.m. (Colton is usually in that mix, when he wakes from his nap).

I have to start my dinner prep and cooking by 4:00, so we can leave by about 5:15 to haul food back out to the farm....

We get home between 7:15-7:45... just in time for baths, story, and bed!
Then I get to unload the car, restock the soda/water fridge in the garage for the stuff I take to the farm, dinner dishes, kitchen clean up....

AND THAT is why I have been kinda quite lately!

Die Cuts R Us #21

It is time for Die Cuts R Us to have another Challenge.

This weeks challenge was to use Christmas Paper Scraps... "leftovers."

Well, my Christmas cards this year just used black and white paper so I didn't have any REAL Christmas scraps lying around, so I opted to use Christmas Colors that I had in my scrap pile.

STUFF I USED:
STAMPS: {Unity} Love Bug
INKS: {SU} Basic Black
PAPER: Summertime Designs, Martha Stewart, Embassy, Georgia Pacific
ACCESSORIES: {Nestabilities} Inverted Circle & Circle, Basic Grey Nook and Pantry Button, {Quickutz} Polka Dots, EK Success Border Punch

Busy Busy Me

October 3rd was the official day for World Card Makers Day. SplitCoastStampers had a whole day coordinated with card challenges and prizes. There were 10 challenges in total just on this website! I didn't do them all, but I gave it a fair try! I am only going to show you one challenge a day until I get all the cards I made posted, except for Friday... Friday is all about Friday Friends with Flair with Unity and I like to do the UNOFFICIAL THEME. This weeks unofficial theme is to make a card that has to do with something edible... It makes me think of Turkeys! So if you enjoy seeing my creations, stay tuned all week because I will have plenty to share!

The first card I am sharing this week is for the Unity Sponsored Challenge. The talented DT member, Jimmi, presented this challenge. In honor of Unity's Owner, Angela (who loves quotes), and Unity where quotes are a part of most sets, Jimmi gave the challenge to make a card with the focal being a quote.

Here is my quoted cards:A close up of the Butterfly:
For all the Stuff that went into this card, please look at my card on SCS HERE.

My second card doesn't use Unity...it uses Verve, but still is Quote-a-licious!For all the Stuff that went into this card, please look at my card on SCS HERE.

Viva La Verve September

It's time again for the Viva La Verve Challenge round up. There were five challenges in the month of September. If you would like a closer look at the challenges, you can click on the challenge title and it will take you to the direct thread at SplitCoastStampers.

VLVSep01: The first was a sketch given by Julee while Amber was out of town. The {twist} was to include round things. I used the mini Rhinestones from Zva. I also used the half circle boarder punch from EK Success called Scalloped Scallop.
STUFF I USED FOR THIS CARD
STAMPS: {Verve} Because of You
INK: SU Bermuda Bay and Dusty Durango
PAPER: Basic Grey "ambrosia", scraps
ACCESSORIES: Ribbon, Mini Rhinestones, Nestabilities Label 4, EK Success Border Punch

VLVSep02: The second challenge {twist} was to make a smaller card than the normal 4.25"x5.5" card. Since I was out of town with the first challenge started, I decided I would make all the cards for this month smaller and thus they are only 3"x3" and I went ahead and used the sketch from the first week again.
STUFF I USED FOR THIS CARD
STAMPS: {Verve} Enjoy
INK: SU Basic Black
PAPER: Basic Grey "ambrosia", scraps
ACCESSORIES:
Ribbon, Martha Stewart Border Punch, Nestabilities Label 4

VLVSep03: The third challenge was another sketch with the {twist} to make a card for a special lady in your life. One of my best friends if having a birthday at the beginning of October and I thought this would be a nice gift card for her.

Here is a close up of the 3D balloon. I saw a tutorial on the web for this and thought it was great. You can see the tutorial HERE.
STUFF I USED FOR THIS CARD
STAMPS: {Verve} Up, Up, & Away, Enjoy
INK: SU Basic Black, VersaMark
PAPER: Basic Grey "ambrosia", scraps
ACCESSORIES: 1.5" circle punch, white embossing powder

VLVSep04: The next challenge was another great sketch with a {Twist} to make it black and white. I didn't have any great black and white paper, so I used white rub-ones on black cardstock, and black rub-ons on white cardstock. I really like how this turned out, even with the simple stamp for the focal with NO sentiment!
STUFF I USED FOR THIS CARD
STAMPS: {Verve} Up, Up, & Away
INK: VersaMark, SU Basic Black
PAPER: Embassy, Georgia Pacific
ACCESSORIES: Rub-ons, Pearls, Holographic Embossing Powder, Quickutz Embossing Folder

VLVSep05: The final challenge was another sketch with a {twist} to use specialty paper. I didn't read the twist the first time around and had to go back and add the stripe of glitter paper to make sure the {twist} was covered! Don't you hate when you forget to read the directions!
STUFF I USED FOR THIS CARD
STAMPS: {Verve} Heartfelt Thanks (received free for an release order)
INK: SU Chocolate Chip
PAPER: Georgia Pacific, Die Cuts With a View, scraps
