May Viva La Verve

I've gone a little crazy now that I am home! Here are my entries for the Viva La Verve Challenges for May (if you would like to see the sketch for each card, click on the title before the card and it will take you to the SplitCoastStampers VivaLaVerve forum):

VLVMAY01 {TWIST} Inspiration... which I got from my camo bedroom set. I posted about this card before so you may feel a bit of a repeat happening, but this is the only card previously posted, so please continue on!VLVMAY02 {TWIST} Blue & Green: I didn't like the first card, so I made a second one which I liked MUCH better ~ VLVMAY03 {TWIST} Favorites: I was in Colorado when I made this so I used what I had... my favorites are Brown, Gems, Distressing with ink. I did have all of these available, so this is how it turned out:VLVMAY04 {TWIST} Masculine: I used browns, a bold blue, and bold red. Used sentiment: "Two roads diverged in a wood and I - I chose the road less traveled by, and that has made all the difference." Robert Frost. I used this as a masculine sentiment because {sorry guys :)} it seems that a guy will take the road less traveled, get lost, not ask for directions... and that makes all the difference!
STUFF I USED FOR THESE CARDS:
ONE: mailing labels, SU a to z, SU painted posies, Verve Beautiful You, ALL my green inks, Brown Pigment Ink
TWO: Nestabilities Labels 4, Sarah Kay 'First Kiss', gems
TWO2: Cricut, Verve Beautiful You, buttons, SU tempting turquoise, Sizzix Embossing Texture
THREE: Gems, KMickus Digi Paper Just Breathe, Verve Beautiful You, Embossing Powder, VersaMark
FOUR: Best Occasions Scrap Pack Paper, Piercing tool, white gelly roll pen, brown zig marker, Brown Pigment Ink, Embossing Powder, MS Cornice Edger.

April Verve Challenge

Verve has a monthly challenge with a sketch available every Friday. You have to complete all the sketches for the month to be entered into the Champions Challenge which has a really great prize for the winner. If you win the month of April, for example, then you would win the new releases of the Verve Stamps in May! Sounds like a plan to me. Just keep your fingers crossed for me that I can win something with all these crafts I have been doing lately!
This month had a twist to the sketches, which means you had to do the sketch plus...

ScrapSomething and ABC Challenge

I doubled up again and made this little card for the Scrap Something Challenge (Friday) and the ABC Challenge (Wednesday). The first is a sketch and the second is on the letter "G" and so my challenge was Glitter!
Here is the Sketch from Scrap Something: And here is my card:
The glitter in the card can be found in the white strip on the right of paper and the brown layer of paper. That paper is from DCWV The Glitter Stack: premium stack "with glitter!"
The stamped image is from Sarah Kay. I used zig markers to color in the image. The edges were punched with Martha Stewart border punches and with the SU spiral punch. I used nestabilities to cut the center image shape.
I think that my card photo's are getting a little better now that I am using natural sunlight to take the photos! Amazing what a little sun can do!

Think Spring Challenge / Crafty Creations Challenge

This challenge is from Scrap Something (a Friday Challenge) AND Crafty Creations (a Wednesday Challenge.) The challengees wer to think spring and make a card that made me think of spring. Here is my creation:
The reason this makes me think spring, other than the word SPRING on the left side! is because of the little chickens and the soft colors, and the flowers in the little girls hair. (Precious Moments by Sarah Kay).

3 Challenges In One

I decided to try to do multiple challenges in one card, and this is what I came up with! The 1st challenge was from Truly Scrumptious Challenges and the challenge was to follow their sketch.

To be considered in their challenge, I also needed to add an element like a charm, but since I don't have anything like that in my stash, I guess they won't consider my card, but I'm submitting anyway because I am actually very satisfied with this card!
The 2nd challenge was for Cup Cake Craft Challenges which was to use Brown +1 (either pink, blue, or green). I decided to use green as my challenge color. There is blue in the card as well, but I used green for the background paper and the ribbon and in the coloring, so I am saying my +1 was green!
The 3rd and last challenge I am submitting this card for is for ABC Challenge where the challenge was F is for Flower... the flower in the card is small ~ it is in the hat on the little girl.
