Friday With Unity

Another Christmas card!

This one is using the same sketch as THIS ONE, but I changed the colors, stamps, and sentiment.

I used my Silhouette to cut out all the scalloped squares for these cards on watercolor paper because I had planned on using an image I could watercolor...

but with the trees, it was much better to paper piece!

I started out using the wired Gold ribbon on these cards, but since I used one strip of Gold on last weeks cards, I ran out and had to make one with silver!

Sentiment is from PTI.
Trees are from Unity's Christmas Eve Chowder
Papers are PTI, Echo Park, Martha Stewart, Paper Company, Watercolor.

BAKERS TWINE: can now be found in

TIME for you to go check out all the other fabulous ladies participating this week with the Unity Fan Hop on the Unity Blog.

Clear It Out Tuesday and Unity Friday

I wanted to share this with all my Unity Peeps since almost all the stamps on it were Unity. Only the Father Sentiment, the kraft colored tickets and Coupons are not Unity...

And today is Unity's Friends with Flair, so make sure to go check out all who are participating HERE.

There is a new challenge over at the Clear It Out's Challenge Blog to use some trims on your projects.

I decided to make my husband a coupon book for his upcoming birthday. I used mailing envelopes for the pages and actually put my Bind It All to use to bind the book together! Bout time huh! Only had it for year!

Anyway, I used my spellbinder label 4 die to cut each end of the envelopes to make it easier to get the coupons out.

The coupons I made with a digital stamp. The stamping inside the book are from Unity Stamps as well as a clear stamp set for the little tickets.

Are you ready for A LOT of pictures???

Pattern Paper from a Wal-Mart pack, Cardstock is Paper Company(?) & Georgia Pacific.

Frame and Sentiment from Echo Park set I Adore You. Flourish is a MM rubon.

Monsters and sentiment from Itty Bitty: Nicest Place To Be (Paper pieced and then colored with Copics). Die shape was cut with Silhouette and was Designed by Me!

A close up of the trims. Stamp Image is from Sweet & Sour Soup and the label die is Samantha Walker's label frame tag, cut on the Silhouette. Border is a Martha Stewart Punch.

Sentiment from Past Kit of the Month: Delightful Moments {KOM Dec 2009}.

This sentiment was also from Sweet & Sour Soup which I was kind of sad about. When purchasing this Fast Facebook Offer, I really thought these stamps were MUCH bigger than they turned out to be... BUT the sentiments are still great sentiments!

More of MARTHA'S TRIMS. Sentiment from another Past Kit of the Month: Take Time To Laugh {KOM Oct 2010}. Die cut was cut with Silhouette and was designed by me!

Large ticket is from Here's the Ticket, sentiment from Past Kit of the Month: A Pocket Full Of...{KOM July 2009}, and small tickets are a clear stamp I picked up at Joann's I think!
Punched border is from Stampin' Up!

Isn't that a great picture of the boys!?  Image from Little Me while the sentiment (Dear Father) is Stampin' Up!
Die shape is Inverted Circle from Spellbinders.

I made about 12 of these tickets with the computer. I printed the ticket on colored paper and then the centers on white and paper pieced them together.

Some were signed by Hunter and say things like "Ice Cream for Two" and "Any activity of your choice!"

Colton even has a ticket that says "Playing Ball."

Now that you have seen my almost endless amount of pictures of my little book, go check out the other DT projects on

A breather

Due to some technical difficulties...

this blogger must take a breather...

I plan to be back, but until then,
I hope everyone has a fabulous life.

Before I go, here is a card I made for the
Clear It Out challenge to make a CAS card

See you on the flip side...

FwF Same but Different!

Today is Friends with Flair at Unity. You can see all those participating HERE.

I have a few cards that are all the same sketch, but a little different!
I made a black and white card with this sketch (HERE), but thought it would work great with some color too!

The next card uses the same stamps, but I used Copics to color my butterfly stamp before stamping it. I used different borders on my panel too. And can you see the stitching on all of them?!

I made this for the Unity Place Challenge to make your own background.
I didn't have the color of blue paper that I wanted, so I used Distress Ink (Broken China) to sponge white paper.
I then stamped the love stamp in Broken China at an angle over the sponging to give a subtle pattern.

I made this card using three Ippity stamps.

 Thanks for looking!

Make It Monday

PaperTreyInk.com has a challenge on their BLOG every Monday that is explained with a video tutorial. This week was to use your dies to emboss instead of cut.

Well, I wanted to do many flowers as a textured background, and would require me to run the die through the machine more than once, and would flatten the first flower (is that clear?), so what I did instead was take the dies from the blossoms set and cut out a bunch of the flowers out of cereal boxes. I think I cheated a little on the challenge, but I did use the dies to emboss the image since I didn't have that shape as a texture plate...

I layered two flowers on top of each other and then laid out the flowers on my embossing machine. I then ran in through the machine with my cardstock on top.

This is how it turned out:
Stamp is PTI, along with die. Cardstock is Martha Stewart Craftstock, Georgia Pacific, Cereal Box Chipboard, fabric (yellow).

Mini Album Envelope Book

It's Friday with Flair over at Unity's Blog.

I have a MINI ALBUM I made for you today.

My friend Martha keeps showing me all these fabulous YouTube video's showing all these new tutorials, and since she keeps making fabulous creations, I figured it was my time to give it a try!

It took me a little to figure out what I wanted to do, but once I just picked a couple of boy pattern papers, it was fairly easy! It all just fell together (mostly!) Here is my attempt at an envelope card: (lots of pictures to follow. I will show you the page spread and then the close up of the extra embellishments on the non-photo page).
