Todays project is a couple of candles.

I stamped the flower from Let Your Dreams Bloom on my tissue paper,
but wanted to try out different mediums.
I decided to color one image with Stampin' Up Markers...

And the other with watercolors.

I colored the back side of the image.
That way I could be a little messy in my coloring!
I really like how both of these turned out,
but I did learn that it is better with Dark Colors,
to use the watercolors instead of the markers.
Watercolors blend much easier on the tissue paper and didn't leave lines where you colored.

Before I wrap up my week, I had a fb message asking me about my backdrops.
They can be found HERE.

Aren't they fabulous?
AND GUESS WHAT...

After a year of leading a team that works in another state, I'm finally going to meet them in person next week. I was trying to find a gift for the two supervisors. I think a version of your candles would be perfect! Thanks for reminding me of an oldie but goodie technique. Yours are beautiful, by the way.

These candles are so pretty and they turned out wonderfully. I've stamped on tissue paper for candles in the past but had really forgotten all about this technique. Can't wait to make up a few for Christmas stocking stuffers. Thanks so much for a really creative GIU week!
