Twilight Correction

After receiving a post from my friend Sandi, I went back to Stephenie Meyer's website to check on some information I had given in my last blog... And it turns out that I was SO wrong, and very unhappy about it. Not that I was wrong, but that the information had now changed to mean that the book Midnight Sun will NOT be published AT ALL :(

After considering this, I did go ahead and download the book draft from the website to read what had already been leaked and that the author had given the public permission to read...

Well, I almost felt like I was doing something mischievous by reading this version, even with permission... (specially since someone had betrayed her trust to put it out in the first place, forcing her to do it this way) and then when I finished reading what was written (only 264 pages, 12 chapters) I felt betrayed by the person who leaked the book also because Mrs. Meyer stopped writing just before the most anticipated section of the book ~ at least most anticipated for me.

The book ends in the spot that Edward takes some time to get to know Bella through a million questions, and then takes her hiking... I so wanted to know these two parts through Edward's eyes. The clearing (on the hike) is a very intimate time between the two characters and a new problem was presented from Edward's point of view in the chapter just before this that never even occurred to Bella.

Ugh... I wish that the author would be smacked in the head with Edward's thoughts and have no choice but to finish this book so I can finish reading what happened in at least these two areas...

But alas, the last information about Midnight Sun to be posted was back in August 2008, and the author has many other projects she has started since then.

I can only hope that Edward does smack Mrs. Meyer in the head and she will finish the book, but until then, I won't hold my breath...

Sincerely, a very sad fan of the Twilight Saga that just isn't complete.

I feel your pain! I was so upset and couldn't believe that she didn't at least put in the meadow scene. I'm hoping that she is just cooling off and that she'll feel compelled to finish it. I think it's even better than Twilight. I love hearing it from Edward's perspective!
