SO HAPPY IT'S FRIDAY HHH!

Today is our day to shine! as Unity Stamps customers! Unity has so many wonderful sets and has such wonderful customer service! Click here for their site -- the people there are so kind and generous!

Because it is Friday, it is our chance to participate in the weekly Blog Hop, click here to start!

Last week during the chit chatting on SplitCoastStampers, the girls were discussing what the next big "thing" was going to be for stamps. We thought that one of the next up and comers should be the Hot Air Balloon. Unity has an awesome hot air balloon stamp set called Love In The Air so we thought it would be a good idea to use our creations with this set for the next HHH. I was not feeling all that well last week, so I wasn't able to get my HHH post going, so I decided to show off my hot air (!) this week!

I made the background paper for this card using the Unity Stamp: Distressed Dots, that I stamped in VersaMark on SU watercolor paper and then embossed with Clear Emboss Powder. After that, I spritzed the paper with water and added SU Tempting Turquoise and Pixie Pink with a makeup sponge! The main image was stamped on white card stock that I die cut with nestabilities die: Label Four. I also paper pieced the image with the pink before using a highlighter to color in the blue!
The next card is also paper pieced and I didn't do anything too fancy. I did print the cloud paper (digi paper by Ehansen ~ Flight of Fancy) on photo paper to give it a bit of a shiny look. The next card shows one of the sentiments from the set. I used the Label One nestabilities to frame it before putting the main layer on dimensionals. I also used the Martha Stewart Classic Butterfly punch. The last card is one that I did a couple of weeks ago, but since it is also using the balloon image, I thought I would share it here. The cloud image is from my balloon set from Verve. The sun image is from the Unity July '09 Kit Of the Month (KOM). And like the rest, this balloon is also paper pieced!

Hope you enjoyed my creations, now head back to the Unity Blog to continue on your way through the hop!

hello

I like top card and background paper, and colors in balloon. It reminds me two things, cotton candy and rainbow.
